BoulevardFitness

About

The gym on the Boulevard.

A neighborhood gym with the room of a much bigger one. 10,000+ square feet on El Cajon Boulevard, at the cusp of North Park, Hillcrest and University Heights.

The idea

Big room. Small attitude.

Boulevard Fitness sits on El Cajon Boulevard with a green tiled front, a red BLVD sign and the kind of street-facing presence that says neighborhood gym before you are through the door. Inside, it is more than 10,000 square feet — a weight room with free weights and machines, a dedicated cardio room, the Cake Factory, combat areas, TRX, CrossFit and a supplement store.

The combination is deliberate. You should not have to drive across town for a serious training floor, and you should not have to sign a long-term contract to use it. Come in, work out, get on with your life. That is the whole pitch.

“No fighting for equipment. No feeling cramped. No attitude.”

What you can count on

Three promises.

01

No long-term contract

Month-to-month is the default. Prepay for 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 3 years if you want the discount, and use day, week or month passes if you are just visiting.

02

No fighting for equipment

More than 10,000 square feet and a huge weight room change the math. There is room to warm up, room to work and room to finish your session without hovering over a machine.

03

No attitude

Everyone is welcome. Ask a question, take the free tour, try a class or train on your own. The gym is built to be used, not to make you feel like you have to earn the door.

Coaching

Independent trainers. One gym.

Classes at Boulevard Fitness are run by independent trainers, and fees may apply. Personal training is available by referral, also through independent trainers. The gym gives you the room; the trainer gives you the plan.

If you want a referral, a form check or a class recommendation, ask at the front desk. The gym can point you toward the right person without locking you into a package.
